A night at the Theater

Last night we went to see Lexi perform in a Christmas play at her church:) They have a dessert theater every year, it was really fun! Margie actually decorated the table we sat at (which was front and center I might add)

The kids got cozy and started eating the chocolate candies on the table right away!

Mina was happy to sit next to Grandma:)

Here's the playbill

 and the cute honey's:)

it was really cute, they had a live big band! They were really good! And that made the show really lively and fun.

Lexi's dance team came on at the end of the first half

She did so well!

Then at intermission it was time to eat cake! (raspberry cheesecake to be exact) I had chocolate ganche, it was REAL good:)

I think Max liked it:)

Max's favorite part by far was in the second half

a little bear puppet with a Scottish accent:) Max just laughed and laughed at everything it said even if it wasn't supposed to be funny!

He had everyone there laughing @ him laughing! It was too cute! We had people coming up to us after the show telling us how cute and funny he was:) The pastor asked if he could come back to every performance!! We had a great night, and I think the kids did too:)

Today we went to visit some very dear friends of ours, the Parks. It confused the kids when we told them we were going to the Parks, Max said "I love parks!" -too cute-:) The coolest part for the kids was going on the ferry

At first Mina didn't want John to pick her up and take her to the railing edge:)

but she got over it:)

Although they were very concerned and kept asking if whales were going to knock over our boat! (Mina was also concerned about the Loch Ness monster:)
Bobbie had the house decorated SO beautifully! (of course)

and the kids really enjoyed the spread Bobbie had for them:)

We got to see Bugs

and visit with cute little Annie!

 Look who else came by!

We had such a wonderful day! Thank you, we love you Sam and Bobbie!

Lights of Christmas!

Well last night we enjoyed another one of our family traditions... The Lights of Christmas! It sure was COLD!! Mina was all bundled up:)

and buddy too:)

He even left his hat and gloves on! (once I put them on:) First stop was the nativity (of course)

There was the petting farm..

He really was happy even though this picture wouldn't prove it:)
and then the horsey rides:)

We don't know that guy (he works there) I just snapped a picture in his face! at least he was smiling nice (not picking his nose or something:) One of the things I love about going to lights of Christmas is that all the volunteers working there are SOOOOO nice, helpful and upbeat. Even the teenagers and kids are so sweet. Max was saying that he didn't want to ride a horsey and this little 10(?) year old boy bent down and said "hey, we have a special horsey you can ride on, and mommy can walk beside you if you want." and then Max was totally into it! It was so cute:)

and of course there were pretty lights

and we have to talk to "Bruce the Spruce" (the talking Christmas tree)

We got some homemade doughnuts! Yummy!
Santa was the big show! Mina was asking the WHOLE time when we were going to see him:)

She was talking his ear off of course:)

and told him she wanted Scooby Doo stuff for Christmas:)

Doh! This is where my camera ran out of batteries! Why does technology hate me so!? So we had to use the iphone camera. Next up was the TRAIN! Max was so excited!

And you can't leave without hugging Frosty:)

We had such a great night. And we thawed out on the way home:)!
