Mina's birthday (again!)

Tonight we went out for a family birthday dinner celebration for Mina:) She picked Red Robin!

Mina couldn't wait for her birthday song!

and ice cream!

Uh oh, someone is feeling left out

but it's not your birthday buddy

As soon as presents were mentioned Mina was done with the ice cream:),
and someone was happy to have at it!

Max kept insisting it was his birthday too, but once he had the ice cream that sealed it. Every time we would say Max it's not your birthday he would hold up the ice cream and say "yes it is!"

 

First up was from Great-Grandma and Poppi,

a princess sleeping bag!

then princess boots from mommy and daddy:)

Auntie Lyssa and Uncle John got her a some Ariel bubble bath

(John is a little too excited about it I think!)
And a Scooby Doo movie!

and ornament

and from Grandma a set of princess nail polish and rings, and "Grandma rice":)

Even John got a gift!-His birthday is next week!-

The Scooby movie was about the Loc Ness monster and Auntie Lyssa was telling Mina how they just went there (they gave her some pictures of it too) Mina said she "didn't want to go to Loc Ness land":)

5 years ago!

My baby bee turned five today! It seems like just yesterday she looked like this...

Today the first order of business was to put on her pretty "Grandma dress" and open the card from Mamaw that had come (of course) right on time:) Thank you, Mamaw!

Then we took our cupcakes to playgroup at "Maggie's house." Stella dressed for the occasion:)

Mina even got a gift from Caitlyn! Scooby Doo wrapping paper and two Scooby Doo cars! Thank you, Caitlyn!

After a lunch of McDonalds:) Mina got to go to Grandmas for dinner! Grandma had a gift waiting of course:)

Mina loved all the calls and birthday wishes. I could tell she felt really special! I never would've imagined 5 years ago that I would have such a beautiful, smart, sweet little girl!

Happy Advent

I almost forgot that TODAY is the first Sunday of Advent! Oh my:) Well luckily I got a reminder (thanks Rene') and I ran out to the garage and got our Advent wreath we made last year:) The kids helped put it together again:)

 They really enjoyed it

John explained a little about advent, read some bible verses and then lit our first candle.

  I didn't have time to go get some purple candles so we made do with what we had:)

I think all the talk of Jesus' birthday confused Max, so when we lit the candle he clapped and then tried to blow it out! So cute:) At least we still have time to work on the boy:)
