Weekend Getaway

We had a great weekend out at my folks. We got to visit our favorite winery, have a wonderful kid-free lunch, and stock up on some yummy wine while my folks took the kids to the park and a picnic and then the splash park...(thanks Mama and Daddy!) and that was just Friday! Saturday we went to a little street fair/market in Prosser. The kids got to do this.....

They were having a chalk street art festival thingy and it was fun to watch the artists at work. This is Mina's favorite

After the market we grabbed a picknic lunch and headed here

Well we've been up to school around here:) The kids really enjoy art time:)

Birthday post:)

Saturday we had a nice family day:) We started out at SBC for some coffee and yummy treats!
The kids loved that!

and they loved riding on the "merry go round" at the mall!

For the evening we celebrated Auntie Lyssa's birthday at Azteca.

Well I finally started knitting again some, thanks in part to my friend Sarah who posted some cute hats she knit on her blog. Also thanks in part to the same friend Sarah for having such cute kids to model my wares:)I think I'm going to make one of these in every color of the rainbow! It was a quick fun knit:)We had a great time hanging out at the park today with friends. Probably not too many parks days left this year. Better get um in while we can:) I'm just gland we found a new indoor hangout for the fall!Is it just me or does Max look like a teenager in this picture?It's not just me, everyone loves miss Maggie moo:)Thanks for the inspiration:)

First day of school!

Well today was Mina's first day of home school!She was really excited:)(and goofy:) We did some MathMax even got in on the pattern blocks:)I think those were the favoriteWe also did reading, social studies and art.Next week we'll add in some science:)Mina was a great student (I knew she would be:) She was so excited and eager to learnI think we are both excited for tomorrow!
