Kailey's Birthday Party

Our good friends Mike and Lilly's little girl Kailey turned 1 this week and we headed down to Ballard to help celebrate her birthday! It was a pretty great party complete with eats,

Today is my good friend Elizabeth's(Aunt Bop) birthday!
The kids "helped" me make special cupcakes Wed. night to celebrate the occasion! (who needs an occasion for cupcakes?)

We had a little party for her yesterday at our playgroup complete with cupcakes (for the kids of course!)

How does your garden grow.....

Mine is slowing down these days. We had a raised bed put in this summer and I've been enjoying growing veggies for the first time!I had the most luck with lettuce (Hmmmm....) but it's mostly all gone now:( All that's left is my bmatoes.......

It's been so cold here at night (and during the day too as of late) That I've resorted to ripening my maters inside.

i should figure out what grows here in the fall....probably too late to start that now hau? Well it's fun anyhow I highly recommend it. My next goal is making Apple butter.
Step one: Buy some of those glass jar thingys
Step two: Make
Step three: Eat
See I have it all figured out!

My hat

Well I made my first Mohawk hat and I have to say I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! It was my first try at intarsia. It's easier than it looks. I need to make another one with different yarn, The stuff I used didn't have enough wool so it didn't felt as good as I'd hoped. The hat was supposed to be for Max but it fits me! Oh well! I guess I have a cool new Mohawk hat for the winter! Check it out!My pretty model! She wants one in pink of course. I guess that's my next project. I'll let you know how it turns out.....

It's officially official

Well here we go. I'm officially starting a blog. I can't promise it' will always be funny or clever It's main point is to keep family and friends looped in on our lives and more importantly the lives of the kidlings. So sit back, relax, and enjoy our crazy journey!
